3600 pixel CCD mini-optic for wavelengths 230nm to 640nm (this includes the measurement of Li in Al-Cu alloys.) Each test uses an A 1.7A dc arc plasma which is generated from the silver electrode to the sample surface. Samples should be clean and dry for the test. Test times are factory set for optimal performance. The LiFP battery pack provides enough power for over 250 tests from a full charge. The battery pack is removable and can be recharged on the fast-charger within 90 minutes. Additional battery packs will permit extended on-site use of the MiniSort III. Mains power can be used to power the MiniSort III indefinitely.
